Mindfulness: Place Yourself At The Center
Before you get involved with the chaos of your life, wouldn't it be a great idea to take a few moments and gather yourself or put yourself in a mindful place where you can relax and center yourself before the chaos ensues. You can accomplish this in 10 minutes or less. The first thing that you need to do is find a quiet place in the home, it can be the bathroom or in your bedroom. Try to choose a room that has some light coming through, sunshine will help your mindfulness and place you in a better mood. Next, close your eyes and relax if you are focusing on something let it go. Remember these exercises are designed to help you center yourself so posture is very important.
Stand with your feet at least hips width and keep your arms down by your side. Unlock your knees and hold in your belly. Breathe normally; as you breathe in relax your shoulders and your neck. As you breathe with the same rhythm you will soon see that your jaw is relaxing as well as your spine. Try not to focus on anything important except your breathing.
Concentrate on your feet, they support your full body weighty as well as bring up any energy from the balls of your feet. You should be so relaxed that you should feel your clothes, feel your heart beating and feel that renewed energy coming into your body. Deep Breathing: Deep Breathing is a great way to bring yourself down from any type of stress. By breathing in deep you are oxygenating the blood and in turn will help wake up your brain as well as relax your muscles and quiet down your mind. You can take a few deep breaths or for some people raising your arms from in front of you over your head will help center your mind.
Sex: Did you know that sex could be a great stress reducer? The best time of the day for sex is at night. It not only relaxes you but you can actually sleep better. A good night's sleep is a great way to center yourself and achieve mindfulness. You can actually start your day off with a positive outlook if you get goodnights sleep.
Read a Book: By reading a book even if it is for just ten minutes can relax you from the drama of the day or set you up for a relaxing start of the day. Choose any type of book that doesn't require a lot of critical thinking. Choose your favorite type of book and sit down with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and relax. After reading a chapter or two you will notice that you are more relaxed, more at peace.
Try any of these methods and if you have a few of your own you can add, you will soon start to see your mood change. You will feel more relaxed and at peace.
